Bio Sketch

Joanne Morcom is a poet and social worker living in Calgary, Alberta.  She recently published her third poetry collection, Last Year's Leaves.  She's also a contributor to various haiku and tanka journals and anthologies.

  1. A sense of loneliness is effectively conveyed through the understated tone of the tanka, and what's left unsaid is at least as potent as what's said.
